Privacy Policy
Pinned Calendar does not collect, receive, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. There are no accounts, analytics, or servers. The app stores the to-dos and preferences it needs locally on your device, has no Internet permission, and disables Android cloud backup and device-to-device backup transfer.
Information we collect
We do not collect any information from you. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us or to any third party, because the app has no backend and makes no network requests for your data.
To do its job, the app works with the following information locally, on your device only:
- Calendar events. Read access to the calendars you choose, used to build this week's agenda inside a notification. Event contents are read on demand and are not copied into the app's to-do and settings storage.
- Your to-dos. Tasks you create are stored in the app's local storage on your device.
- Your settings. Preferences such as theme, accent color, time window, notification behavior, and calendar-filter choices are saved locally. This includes the identifiers of calendars you choose to hide.
- Operational data. The app may retain internal data needed to schedule and refresh its local work.
How information is used
The information above is used for one purpose only: to display your upcoming events and to-dos as an on-device notification and inside the app. It is never used for advertising, profiling, or analytics, and it never leaves your device.
Permissions we request
- Calendar (read). So the app can show your events. It never edits or deletes your calendar.
- Notifications. So the app can post the pinned agenda to your notification shade.
- Run at startup. So the pinned notification can rebuild itself after your phone restarts.
Sharing and third parties
We do not share, sell, or transmit your data, because we never receive it. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, trackers, or crash reporters that send your data off the device.
Retention and deletion
On Android 10 and later, a compatible uninstall screen may offer a system Keep app data option. If you select it, Android can retain the app's private local data on that device and make it available after you reinstall the same app. This is an optional same-device convenience, not a guaranteed backup. It is unavailable on Android 8 and 9 and may not be offered by every device or uninstall method.
The app does not use Android cloud backup, and it excludes its data from Android device-to-device backup transfer. Retained data cannot recover information from a lost, reset, or damaged device.
You can permanently delete locally stored data by clearing the app's storage in Android settings. Uninstalling also deletes it unless you explicitly select Keep app data when offered. To remove data previously kept after uninstall, reinstall the same app, clear its storage, and uninstall it without keeping the data.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect data from anyone, regardless of age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app's listing.
